The little baboon turned one a few weeks ago, but he just had his one year dr. checkup.

Star Farms fun and big girl haircuts

Alani's first haircut (besides when she cut it herself to look like Daddy, and when Tani had to snip gum out of it).

Mana showing off her new haircut and her new Zhuzhu pet "Sweetie" that she bought with her saved up money. Anu wants a zhuzhu pet so badly, he just hold it in his little hands, and touches the nose (which makes loving sounds) and says "nose". And he loves the wheels on the bottom. There's something about boys and wheels I've noticed.....

We had tons of fun at Star Farms 2 weekends in a row for 2 different activities. This is a manmade lake in the middle of a farm in Paso Robles. It's like Hawaii in the valley or something. We love it here. I got a chance to take the kayaks out and give the girls a little lesson on how to hold the paddle.

Comic artist Mana

Mana has been into drawing Avatar pictures. Here's one of Ty Lee and Azula that she drew tonight. I told her she should start drawing comic books.

My little boy turned one today!!!! Isn't he just a little blonde version of his dad?

I tried to capture all the kids with their dad. This is about the best I could do. In all the other shots someone was either going cross-eyed or not looking at the camera!

Thanks Auntie Carolyn and Erik. He knew just what to do with this cute wooden car when he opened it (or when the girls opened it for him!)

Anu sitting on his cute Ikea quilt that I bought it for him for his birthday (because everytime I see it at Ikea I fall in love with it, so this time I decided to just get it). And thanks to the Wilsons for his Mater and helicopter. He knew just what to do with those.

Thanks MorMor for his awesome train rider. As you can see, he's really into getting "inside" of things, so he's managed to fit himself into the little lid of the seat.

And we made him a cookies and cream icecream pie for his birthday. He decided to forgo the fork and just eat with his hands. That's my boy!

Baptism by Immersion

My precious Kawailani got baptized today by her daddy. She chose to do it in the ocean. It was very beautiful. And look at those beautiful leis made by our friend Mona. People said she looked like an angel when she came out of the water.

Happy Birthdays

Kawai was sooo happy to receive an Elfquest picture of herself (Misty is her elf name), from my friend from 6th grade who is an amazing artist. Thanks Kym!!

Well August means a lot of birthdays in our house. 3 of them, not counting Kahi the kitty.
Kawai turned 8 2 days after my birthday. She's pretty happy about that. Also we got to see Erik this week, the kid's only older cousin, all the way from Michigan. This is a totem pole picture of Erik and the kids. They got to play around at Avila for a few hours and had a blast.
