Yay, we just made it to Phoenix, AZ. We left SLO at 5:30 am. Wow. We thought SLO was hot this week. Ha ha. It took us 11 hours, but we stopped plenty of times. Thanks to IVL for the DVD player! Uncle Kawi was definitely right about his analogy, I put it in the title. It fits.

Kawai asked me yesterday, "Mommy, at what age do people get their own cellphone?" Since she's still 5, I hesitated, trying to come up with the appropriate response. Before I could answer, she asked "How old were you when you got your first cellphone?" Aha, I thought, this'll do it. I answered "I was about 32 when I got mine, so maybe when you are 32 you will get one!"

Well all the practicing for the big hula performance ('Ano'ai Ke Aloha - Greetings of Aloha) paid off. Kawai and Mana did great in their 7 hula dances. I have no pictures from the show, but I got some pics of them in some of their costumes the day of the show. Here are a few....
