End of school year update - Kawai

June got so busy that I didn't have a chance to post all the fun things that were happening. Since every kid seemed to have some things to post about, I am posting about each kid individually.    Here's what Kawai's been up to in June.

On June 3, Kawai's Brownie Girl Scout troop had a bridging ceremony as they moved up to the next level.

Pacheco Ultimate Frisbee Team, which Kawai had such as blast being part of this year.
Kawai's 3rd grade put on a play called "Vacation to Mars". Kawai's role was Mom and she did a great job, her parts were in 2 languages.

July - Free Hawaiian music shows

Na Hoa Aloha, my hubbie's band, will be doing free shows at various central coast hangouts this weekend and next.  The band includes Robb on ukulele, Ric on lap steel guitar and Abe on bass.  They are awesome.

Tonight, Friday July 1, come on down to the Back Door Deli (960 Grande Ave in Grover Beach).  They will be playing from 6-9 pm.  The deli offers some delicious island flavored food.  And they have the best brownies and cookies.

Saturday, July 2, come to Miss Lola's Southside Grill (560 Embarcadero in Morro Bay).  They play outside on the enclosed patio and it's a great location to enjoy a delicious lunch and hear island tunes.  They will be there from 12-3 pm.

Saturday, July 9, the band will play at Red Dirt Coffee House (1452 East Grane Ave, Arroyo Grande).  Come enjoy the relaxing atmosphere in Red Dirt and relax to the music.

By the way, the girls will be doing some dancing and some singing, so come on out and enjoy the show.
